We're now brewing test batches on premises on a 12 gallon plant!

These photos are of the progress of one such beer, an American Pale Ale.

++++NOTE THAT THE PREMISES SHOWN IN THE BREWING PICTURES WILL NOT NOW BE NOMAD'S HOME++++

We harvested copious amounts of Cascade hops in Becket, MA, on August 8th...

...Dried them overnight...

...And brewed with them the next morning.

The size of our brewery space can be summed up with the above pictures, looking towards the entrance from the back.

Looking in from the front.

Milling the malted barley grains.

Sparging (rinsing) fermentable materials out of the grains.

Sanitizing equipment well is very important in brewing good beer.

Some of the hops we had picked, shortly before they went into the boil (inside the sack).

In they go...

That brew kettle smelled GOOD!

Preparing the yeast.

Transferring to the fermenter, brew done (apart from lots of cleaning!).

Then we hand-bottled the previous brew which had finished fermenting, a witbier.

The first case of sample bottles completed.

Here are some pictures of our tanks, casks, kegs, and pipework.
These are stored out of view behind the brewery space, but will be moved into position very soon.

All photos: Alex Hall (first one was on self-timer).
